I’ve been reading Blood of a Fae, Book #2: Court of Claws by Briar Boleyn, and I’m finding myself skimming it just to see where it goes.

I enjoyed the first book in the series, but this one is supposed to be a prologue and doesn’t really have anything to do with the first book except for the appearance of Orcades.

I’m sort of invested in the story, and I want to find out what happens, but the female main character is annoying me.

It’s loosely (very loosely) based on the legends of Camelot, and I also find that annoying because they made Aurther a bad guy. It seems the only thing based on Camelot is the character names and a few other details.

All these dark romance fantasy books are starting to blend together, and here I am trying to write one. And not getting very far with it, lol.

I’ve got a name, a fuzzy idea, and a few characters sketched out. It is much easier to write the little, short stories.

But I plan to keep poking away at it :)
